Renewable Energy Association of Zimbabwe is an independent, non-governmental and non profit making organisation with no particular religious or political affiliation and is gender and environmentally sensitive. The Purpose of REAZ is to facilitate the sustainable development and uptake of Renewable Energy Technologies RETs to the benefit of its members, stakeholders and consumers.
 
 
 

REAZ Core Activities

Promoting quality in the renewable energy sector

Supporting the Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority(ZERA), Standards Association of Zimbabwe (SAZ) and others to develop harmonized quality standards.

Capacity-building

Engaging universities and training institutions to develop talent for the sector through providing training, developing certification schemes and supporting curriculum development.

Awareness

Working with the Ministry of Energy to design and deliver public awareness campaigns that help to create trust and demand and promote quality.

Policy

Providing support to policy-makers, to assist with the design of the Green Fund and other initiatives intended to help the DRE private sector to deliver energy access. Renewable energy lobbying and advocacy to improve the business environment and encourage adoption.

Market Intelligence

Helping to develop a market intelligence/ sector performance reporting mechanism by undertaking original research to share the latest developments in the industry.

Networking, Business Linkages and Coordination

To facilitate and encourage synergies between various activities e.g. programs, projects and/or initiatives in the renewable energy field.
